A little over a year ago, my 40th birthday was overshadowed by a major health crisis - I was

diagnosed with Congenital Heart Failure, with my heart operating at a dangerously low 17% ejection fraction at its worst. This led to an 8-week hospital stay where I felt decades older than my 39 years, relying on oxygen and a walker. Through medication and cardiac rehab, I was able to recover to a normal heart function range and ditch the assistive devices.

Just when I thought I was on the mend, in August 2024 my stomach ballooned in pain, and I couldn't eat for days. Further testing revealed I had developed a rare form of Sarcoidosis, affecting my bones, spine, spleen, and lungs. This rare "zebra" disease, as the medical community calls it, has now been identified as the root cause of my previous heart issues. While I continue to juggle work, family responsibilities, and constant medical appointments, I'm determined not to let this chronic condition completely derail my life.
Laughter, loved ones, and therapy help me navigate this new normal. I want to share my stories in hopes that I can help others that are on the struggle bus to see they are not alone.

Just so you know, I always keep it real - no sugar-coating here. I'm straightforward and sometimes it might come off as a bit intense. You can either accept me as I am or move on, I don't beat around the bush. Life's tough, so let's face it head-on! Things can get messy, but we'll tackle them together!
